China 4G# Router comparison

I recently tested two different 4G routers from Aliexpress.

KuWFi CPF909

MediaTek MT7628AN, 8 MB Flash, 64 MB Ram

OS: OpenWRT

The 4G module, the WiFi and the Ethernet modules are all connected by USB internally, the system logs shows the whole dmesg output.

Cellular networks: WCDMA/GSM/2G/3G/4G

Cellular network speed: 150 Mbps

External antenna connectors

2.4GHz Wifi 300 Mbps (IEEE 802.11b/g/n)

Ethernet: 2x 10/100 Mbps

Working Modes: WiFi Mode/AP Mode, Wired Mode/Repeater

Included: 1x 24V/0.5A POE Power Adapter

Price: I paid about 50$

Pros: everything is better than the CPE905, especially the web interface is quite good

Pros: nice flat case

Cons: VERY limited configuration options, e.g. no option to change dhcp dns settings (necessary if you want to use PiHole)
